The Vulcan Laser Mapping System utilizes a laser baseline system and collects X,Y,Z data on multiple receivers located on the measuring rod and calculates the exact spatial location of the tip of the rod against the item being measured.  TLC has used the Vulcan exclusively for Product Liability Cases where much more exact data is needed for measuring deformation of items during the collision process.
